Downton Dragons v Poole Park Mallards. Saturday 23rd May.

On a very hot Saturday morning the Dragons faced the Poole park Mallards at home in the B & D triples league.The Dragons Team of John Halski, Paul Bromage and Nick Purkis faced Poole Parks Head Coach and his team. After losing the first two ends the Dragons caught up and then it was wins back and forth with nine end wins to Poole Park and eight ends to Dragons going into the last end the score was 15 shots to Dragons and 14 shots to Poole Park.Dragons won the last end by one shot to win the game 16 shots to 14 shots. Dragons second team consisting of Dawn and Steve Allen and Colin Morris faced three very formidable Poole Park ladies.After losing the first three ends the Dragons found the right line and length and won comfortably by 17 shots to 9. The Poole Park ladies did give us a scare on the 15 end when they were holding seven shots but skip Colin with his last shot came in with a toucher to win the end by one shot.
